SINGLES.ORG

I feel that I must preface this review by saying that when the initial review was done, an email was sent to the owner of record to ask some questions. He replied and said the site had been sold a few years prior. I then attempted to contact the email address provided on the support link inside the site, but have not received a reply. What’s worse than that, the email came back to me undeliverable. The address had been copied and pasted into my email client, so what they gave is what was used.

So if you feel led to go to this site, be aware that contact with them is little to none. If this changes and someone finds a way through, use my contact page and let me know. I’ll remove this once a couple questions are answered.

The Review:

Singles.org is a Christian based site which claims to have over 42,000 members. The site offers free unlimited memberships, photo profiles, mail, and favorite lists to name a few. It has a simple but effective interface, but don’t let that stand in your way.

You sign up for a free limited account. Then when you want to see all the options, including the unlimited database, you pay for the additional service, although up front it’s not clear what that charge is and what the occurrence is, even after you go through the sign up process.

The site includes chat and instant messenger along with a “Matchbot” account which you can create and have potential mates profiles delivered to your email account daily, based on your preferences of sex, ethnicity, age, and gender. When someone new joins and falls within your criteria, you get an email!

The organization which owns Singles.org is Cybergrace.com who also owns related sites which all appear to be Christian based as well, although I haven’t researched any of them, and it’s not in the scope of review.

Everything has a downside, and this site doesn’t escape that list. The two things I found that I would consider important, is that they tell you for the “cost of a couple of McDonald’s Big Macs you can join. Nothing is clear.

The second thing isn’t as relevant and I haven’t tried it. The customer support link took me to a well done page, but their customer service is as follows; in their words – “Please contact Frank in our Email Support Service Center. Frank is available to provide you with “Unlimited” Email Support” This included a link in the phrase to click on which opens your email client to send mail. I got a good chuckle out of that, since I’ve spent many years in customer service.

But it would be much easier to have a dialog box in the page which you describe your problem without having to open your email client to get your question answered or issue solved.
